International Guild of Realism 13th Juried Exhibition
Camille Engel Debuts Two New
Bird Paintings in Santa Fe, NM
Hosted by the Prestigious Sugarman-Peterson Art Gallery
Camille Engel, who has been named one of our nation’s Artists to Watch by both Southwest Art and Fine Art Connoisseur magazines, will step back into the international arts spotlight in early October when two of her original oil paintings exhibit at the 2018 International Guild of Realism Exhibition at the prestigious Sugarman-Peterson Art Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico. (Exhibition article in the October American Art Collector magazine.)
“On Top of the World III” measures 18 inches tall by 48 inches wide and is an ethereal depiction of a mountain bluebird perched high atop a pine tree with the view of a foggy canyon in the background.
“Patient Observer” measures 30 x 30 inches and is an intricately detailed oil painting of a majestic American barn owl stretching his wing while perched in the window of an abandoned stone barn.
Engel, who has won a number of awards for her oil paintings, has brushed many paintings depicting birds of all kinds and, without exception, these two paintings, created specifically for this exhibition, are two of her favorites.
Some of her 2018 awards include International Artist magazine “Favorite Subjects” Finalist, the coveted “Art Renewal Salon” Finalist, The Artist Magazine Wildlife Finalist, and Southwest Art magazine “Artistic Excellence” Finalist just to name a few.
